Welcome To Saxlingham Players

May I remind you of our forthcoming play readings/auditions for “The Heiress” – 7.30 in the Village Hall on Tuesday 22nd and Thursday 24th August, for all those interested in taking part, whether on stage or behind the scenes.

If you cannot make these dates, but would still wish to be involved, please contact Vicky Stocks (01508 499631) who will pass details on to our director, Rachel Girling.

A note from the director  - our very own Rachel Girling!

Our next production, The Heiress, will be performed from 29 November - 2 December and is an 1850's costume drama about the intentions of a penniless handsome young man towards a plain Heiress.  It explores the themes of love, trust and parental expectations.  It's a play that I love and have wanted to direct for many years, and I am excited to be sharing it with such a lovely group of people!

I am looking for people who would like to be a part of this production - we need people who would be willing to make tea, prompt, act on stage, be a member of stage crew, putting up scenery, painting scenery, helping with hair, helping with bar or teas and coffees on the performance nights and so on!  There are so many things that we would love to have more people involved with, please do contact me via the email address at the bottom of this page if you are interested.

The on-stage roles range from early twenties upwards.  There are no parts for children on this occasion, I'm afraid.

Come and read for a part on Tuesday 22nd and Thursday 24th August at 7.30 pm at Saxlingham Nethergate Village Hall, and rehearsals will start after the AGM on 5 September on our usual Tues/Thurs slots.

Come and be a part of our twice yearly productions, be it acting or behind the scenes, also relax at our enjoyable social events we hold throughout the year.
